Sanctuary Personnel is currently seeking a Senior Staff Nurse for a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) position.

Our client's facility, located in a picturesque country park, just south of Birmingham City Centre, is a newly established service within easy reach of the M5 junction 4. Comprising thirty-three beds spread across three wards, including a ten-bedded female NHS Psychiatric Intensive Care, a thirteen-bedded mixed-gender NHS acute service, and private acute ward beds for both men and women, the hospital offers a range of inpatient services along with outpatient facilities and conference amenities.

Opened in March 2022, this role presents an exciting opportunity to join a burgeoning team within a brand-new hospital, situated in a serene locale. Despite its current 'Inadequate' rating from the CQC, the hospital has undergone a transformation with a fresh Senior Management Team in place, dedicated to achieving an 'Outstanding' rating and prioritising patient care.

Duties:

Key responsibilities for the role include delivering high-quality, patient-focused care, contributing to the development of new services and care pathways, supporting the local implementation of the Nursing Strategy, and engaging in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

Ideal candidates should possess an active NMC PIN with at least 12 months of post-qualifying experience, relevant clinical expertise, a positive attitude towards change and improvement, flexibility in practice, and excellent communication skills.

Benefits:

In addition to a competitive salary, perks of joining the team include free on-site parking, supplemented meals on duty, generous annual leave including a Birthday Holiday, enhanced maternity pay, a contributory pension scheme, and access to various flexible benefits such as discounted gym membership, IT technology, and private healthcare. Development opportunities, including sponsorship of professional qualifications, leadership and management training, and long-service awards, further enhance the benefits package.

Nurses at this facility can also enjoy additional benefits such as a welcome bonus, fully funded DBS and NMC registration, return to practice support, mentorship experience, CPD top-up, and management and leadership development opportunities. Pay enhancements for overtime, nights, and weekend shifts are also available.

With flexible day and night shift patterns, the role offers a chance to make a real and lasting difference to individuals in need of mental health care. You'll be joining a supportive company committed to your welfare and career development, within the UK's largest provider of high-quality mental health care. Join our client in delivering exceptional care and contributing to their mission of providing top-tier mental health and rehabilitative services. Apply now through Sanctuary Personnel.
