Are you an experienced Sonographer seeking a fresh challenge? Sanctuary Personnel is on the lookout for a motivated and skilled individual to join our client's dynamic team in the Southeast Region as a Sonographer.

In this role, you'll be pivotal in delivering top-notch ultrasound services independently, aiding in patient care and diagnosis across various clinics in the Southeast, including Peterborough and/or Cambridge. This position offers a unique blend of work in both community sites and hospitals, allowing you to make a significant impact on healthcare provision in these bustling cities.

As this is a mobile role covering diverse sites across the Southeast, their ideal candidate would possess a valid UK Drivers Licence and be eligible for either a Company Car Allowance or mileage allowance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations following established guidelines, showcasing proficiency in unsupervised scanning sessions.
  • Provide comprehensive ultrasound scanning and reporting services within your scope of practice, using analytical skills to interpret ultrasound images and furnish accurate examination reports.
  • Adhere to protocols and policies when operating on sites, ensuring compliance and upholding high practice standards.
  • Collaborate with referring clinicians and, when needed, request Radiologist review of reports, demonstrating a dedication to continuous professional development.
  • Maintain exceptional patient care in a safe, clean environment, in line with policies.
  • Efficiently manage clinic sessions, working alongside Diagnostic Imaging Assistants to ensure seamless patient experiences.
  • Contribute to the training of other medical staff, including radiographers and medical professionals, as directed by the Clinical Regional Lead Sonographer.
  • Actively engage in audit and clinical governance activities under the guidance of the Clinical Regional Lead Sonographer.
  • Pursue lifelong learning, participating in continuing professional development and staying abreast of medical ultrasound advancements.
  • Uphold personal and professional standards of excellence in ultrasound practice and patient care.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Relevant professional qualification (DMU, PgD, or MSc in Medical Ultrasound) and professional registration (e.g., HCPC).
  • Possession of a valid driving license and access to a vehicle (desirable).
  • Comprehensive clinical knowledge and expertise in medical ultrasound acquired through post-graduate qualifications and practical experience.
  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to make critical decisions based on knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Proficiency in utilising patient management databases and PACS systems.
