Location: Westminster
Type: Permanent
Shift Pattern: Full time, 37.5 hours per week. Flexibility required to work long days, nights & weekends. 
Salary: £42,500 - £51,059 per annum (competitive) + benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits & excellent career development). For a limited time, we are offering a £10,000 welcome bonus to Nurses that successfully join the team. 

Sanctuary Personnel are seeking a Senior Staff Nurse to join our client's team within the Neurorehabilitation and Complex Care Inpatient Ward. This role is based at a renowned hospital, currently rated "Good" by the CQC, and dedicated to the healthcare needs of women and children. As part of their team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to a supportive environment focused on professional development.

In this position, you will take on a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient functioning of the department. Utilising your expertise, you'll provide guidance and mentorship to junior nurses, leveraging your clinical knowledge to support their growth. You'll also step up to lead the unit in the absence of the Sister/Charge nurse. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks, from developing and assessing holistic care plans for children in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to engaging in audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance their care standards. Key qualifications and attributes we're looking for include:

  • Registration with the NMC as a Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) along with immediate paediatric life support certification
  • Previous experience in Paediatric Neurorehabilitation and managing complex care needs
  • Familiarity with caring for tracheostomised patients is advantageous
  • Sound understanding of Safeguarding issues
  • Demonstrated teaching and mentoring skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in clinical governance, including experience with audits
  • Previous involvement in supervising, assessing students, and leading shifts is desirable
